| The goldfinch here is a winter male. They apparently undergo quite a stunning change in their coloring during the winter - which explains why it took me so long to figure out what it was! I'm about 85-90% sure on the house finch. Its a female finch of some sort, but I didn't get a clear shot of its belly, which should have streaks of brown and white. |
